Spacestation Defense
Made in 2023, Spacestation Defense is a cooperative, real-time strategy game about defending a spacestation from waves of enemy ships. Players share control of all allied forces, and can assign targets for the turrets, turn components on and off to ration power, micromanage allied ships, and collect scrap from destroyed enemies and use it to build new ships or station components. It was inspired by The Space Game (a flash game) and by some online discussion of board games.
There are a few known bugs, including occasional crashes, and the tutorial isn't great. Also you probably won't find anyone to play with, but it is meant to be a coop game.
Things the tutorial doesn't mention:
- you can press H to order a ship to go to the nearest hangar
- you can press F to toggle hull meters being always visible

If you don't know which Linux build to get, get the GNU one. Both require X11 or XWayland.
Wait, where's the Windows build?
Short answer: Microsoft won't let you have a Windows build. Go yell at them.
The Windows build had a strange networking problem that I spent many hours trying to debug. I wasn't going to give up, but Windows kept fucking deleting my test files in the name of "security" even when I turned "virus & threat protection" off, so I decided fuck Windows.
